About Madrone Cove
Madrone Cove began with a simple idea: the things we live with should mean something — and buying them should do a little good in the world. We’re a small, independently run shop offering handmade pottery, and we exist to put beautiful, well-made work in your hands while championing the people behind it.
Our values
We’re built around a commitment to disabled women-owned small businesses. Independent makers — and disabled women especially — so often do extraordinary work without the visibility or support they deserve. Madrone Cove is our way of changing that in a small but real way: giving their craft a storefront, a fair partnership, and an audience that values it.
We’re also proud to stand with the autistic community. That shows up in who we choose to work with, and in how we’ve built this shop itself — calm, uncluttered, and easy to navigate, with no flashing motion or hard-sell noise. A welcoming, low-pressure place to shop is something everyone deserves.
Every order here is a vote for that mission. When you buy a piece, you’re supporting an independent maker and the values this shop is built on — and that means more to us than we can say.
The pottery & Mudflow Studio
Every piece in the shop is made by Mudflow Studio, a small ceramics studio we’re proud to partner with. The work is wheel-thrown and hand-built, with an attention to form, glaze, and texture you can feel the moment you pick up a mug or run a thumb along a bowl’s rim.
Because each piece is one of a kind or made in small batches, the one you order is genuinely singular — yours and no one else’s. We’d love for you to explore the studio directly, too; there’s always something new taking shape there.
